The USU Smart Innovation Hub for Asset Management and System Intelligence once again strengthened its role as a center for innovation and strategic studies in asset management through the organization of the National Webinar Series 2 in collaboration with the Master’s Program in Property Management and Valuation (MMPP) of the Graduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara and the USU Center of Excellence for Asset Management. The webinar, themed “Synergy among Government, Academics, and Practitioners in the Transformation of Regional Asset Management and Valuation to Achieve Fiscal Independence and Sustainable Economic Development,” served as a collaborative platform bringing together various stakeholders to discuss strategies, challenges, and innovations in regional asset management in the era of digital transformation.
Through this activity, the USU Smart Innovation Hub demonstrated its commitment to strengthening more effective, transparent, and technology-based regional asset governance. The webinar featured nationally recognized speakers, namely Dr. Rudi B. Hutabarat, Head Representative of Bank Indonesia North Sumatra Province; Ir. Hamid Yusuf, MM., MAPPI (Cert), FRICS, a professional practitioner and public appraiser from MAPPI; and Arik Hariyono, Director of Valuation at the Directorate General of State Assets Management (DJKN), Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was officially opened by the Director of the Graduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Ir. T. Sabrina, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D.
The National Webinar Series 2 is expected to strengthen human resource capacity, expand collaborative networks among government institutions, academics, regulators, and practitioners, and generate innovative solutions in regional asset management and valuation to support fiscal independence and sustainable economic development in Indonesia. The webinar was scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 08.00 WIB until completion through Zoom Meeting, and participants would receive 8 MAPPI CPD Points.
