The USU Smart Innovation Hub for Asset Management and System Intelligence once again demonstrated its commitment to encouraging the transformation of regional asset governance through the organization of the National Webinar Series held in collaboration with the Master’s Program in Property Management and Valuation (MMPP) of the Graduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara and the USU Center of Excellence for Asset Management. The first series of the national webinar carried the theme “Synergy among Government, Academics, and Practitioners in the Transformation of Regional Asset Management and Valuation to Achieve Fiscal Independence and Sustainable Economic Development.” 

The activity served as a tangible contribution of the research center in creating a scientific and professional collaboration forum that brought together various stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities in regional asset management in the era of digital transformation.

Through this activity, the USU Smart Innovation Hub reaffirmed its role as a center for innovation development and strategic studies in technology-based asset management and system intelligence. Amid demands for transparency, efficiency, and optimization of public assets, the research center continues to promote innovative ideas and solutions to support stronger, more effective, accountable, and sustainable regional asset governance. The webinar also functioned as a medium for strengthening human resource capacity and building collaborative networks among government institutions, academics, regulators, and professional practitioners.

The event featured nationally recognized speakers in their respective fields, namely Dr. Drs. A. Fatoni, M.Si., Director General of Regional Financial Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and Dr. Badikenita Putri Sitepu, S.E., M.Si., Chair of Committee II of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI). The webinar was also officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. The presence of these speakers was expected to provide strategic insights into regional asset management and valuation as important instruments in supporting fiscal independence and sustainable economic development.

This National Webinar Series was scheduled to take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, starting at 08.00 WIB until completion through Zoom Meeting. In addition to gaining the latest knowledge and insights, participants would also receive 8 MAPPI CPD Points. Through this activity, the USU Smart Innovation Hub for Asset Management and System Intelligence hopes to continue serving as a driving force for innovation and collaboration in developing modern, adaptive, and value-added regional asset management systems for Indonesia’s development.
